In August of 2024, Last Call for Babe Reilly had the honor and privilege of preforming a rehearsed reading at the prestigious James Joyce Centre in Dublin, Ireland. Cast included Dublin's own Anna Nugent, Paul Nugent and Ryan Roy along with Zoe Watkins from the original NYC cast, and narrated by Jolly Abraham. The read was Produced by AboutFACE, Nancy Manocherian's the cell theatre & James Joyce Centre. A truly wonderful experience for us all! (click PHOTOS to check it out)
Babe Reilly would say he was relatively generous of spirit before he was hit by a Q111 bus; he did always tip the New York barkeeps after all. However, that may not be enough to convince the staff at the Pearly Gates to let him through to the other side. Luckily for him, a small twist of fate involving a Ouija board, a cat, and an intuitive young girl named Penny may give him the second chance he needs. Written by award-winning playwright Marianne Driscoll (McGoldrick’s Thread, The Biscuit Club) and directed by Kira Simring, Last Call for Babe Reilly is a new dramedy that explores one man’s ultimate journey for redemption both in this life and the next.
